Mrs. Bierman was born February 9, 1920, in Cooper, Texas, the daughter of Taylor and Artie Mae Meadlin Formby. She married Floyd Bierman, July 12, 1947, in Washington, D.C. He died April 6, 1991.
Helen owned and operated Spencer Tower Beauty Salon for many years before her retirement. Prior to that she worked at the former Eagle's Food Store. She was a member of A.A.R.P.
She is survived by daughter, Sue Summers, Jefferson, Texas; sons, Edward Bierman, Tulsa, Okla., Timothy Bierman, Rock Island, and Mark Bierman, Des Moines; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; sisters, Hazel Morris, Paris, Texas, and Wilda Formby, Blossom, Texas; brothers, T.H. Formby, Powderly, Texas, and Duane Formby, Detroit, Texas; along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by daughter, Joann Fox.
