Frank David Armes, 63, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Greenwood.
He was born on July 1, 1951 in Washington, Indiana to Clarence Edward and Dorothy Francis (Warren) Armes. Frank's father, Clarence survives in Greenwood. He married Jane Melody (Stevens) Armes on July 7, 2007. She survives. Other survivors include one daughter, Erika (Noah) Armes Garrett of Ft. Wayne; three step-sons; three-step-daughters; one brother, John (Terry) Armes of Bargersville; three grandchildren, Macala Garrett, Marcus Garrett and Ariana Murray; ten step-grandchildren and two nieces, Mandy (Greg) Hurrle and Shelby Bleke. He was preceded in passing by his mother, Dorothy.
Frank was a 1970 graduate of Center Grove High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was employed by Ford Motor Corporation as a tig welder, retiring in 1989.
Frank enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding motorcycles. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and football, especially the Washington Redskins.
Rev. John Stevens, Jr. will conduct a celebration of life service on Saturday, October 25th, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call on Saturday, October 25th from 4:00 p.m. to time of service at the funeral home. Military honors will be held following the memorial service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association and/or to the American Cancer Society.
