Permelia or Parmelia Spurlock was born in 1818 in TN to Francis Spurlock. I'm unsure of who her mother was?
Permelia Spurlock married Daniel S Ford on Feb 22, 1839 in Cannon County, TN.
In the 1850 Census, the family was living in the 9th Civil District (Daniel, Permelia, Mary, Olive, Martha, Amanda, & Eliza).
I'm not 100% sure that Permelia is buried here at Gunter-Grizzle. I have combed the cemetery 3 or 4 times and not found a headstone there for her. I do know that her husband Daniel is buried there and there's a large area set off with stones and I have a gut feeling that she is buried in that area with no headstone. I'm going to place a memorial here at Gunter-Grizzle in her memory, until we find out for sure.
