Florence L. Stillabower, 79, died Sunday, April 13, 1997, at her son, residence in Peru.

She was a resident of Peru and a former resident of Columbus.

She was born April 15, 1917, in Ogilville. Her parents were Earl and Orpha(Smith)Merritt. She married Arthur K. Stillabower, Feb. 29, 1940. He preceded her in death Aug. 27, 1988.

Survivors include two sons, Melvin Stillabower of Forked River, N.J.., and Roger Stillabower of Peru; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Marshall Merritt.

She was a member of First Christian Church.

The Rev. Joseph Marcello will conduct a service at 2 p.m. Thursday at Barkes, Inlow and Weaver Funeral Home on Washington Street in Columbus.

Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. to time of service Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery in Columbus.
