"Deaths - Grace R. Gardner
Grace R. Gardner, 84, a Pajaro Valley resident for 67 years, died this morning in a local convalescent home after a long illness. She was a native of Tennessee.
Mrs. Gardner was the widow of John E. Gardner, a prominent lawyer here for many years before his death in 1945. She had last made her home at 503 Brewington Ave.
She leaves a sister, Clara Silliman of Watsonville; four nephews, George, Floyd and Francis Silliman, and Dr. Arthur Rodgers, all of Watsonville, and two nieces, Mrs. Harry Ashcraft and Mildred Silliman, both of Watsonville.
Private services will be held Wednesday at 11 am. at Mehl's Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Alan L. Searles of United Presbyterian Church officiating. The family requests that no flowers be sent." END
