A memorial service will be held at Merle Hay Funeral Home: 4400 Merle Hay Rd; on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 12pm.
Merlyn was employed at Sears in Des Moines for over 30 years.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, William “Bill” (Melinda) Blue and Ann Blue; grandchildren, Brandon (Krista), Andrea and Allison; great-granddaughter, Ellie; and a sister, Dorothy Bower.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Sandra; brother, Leslie Blue; and sister Loise Blue.
