Although her obituary reads she had been married to ELIJAH, from the children's obituaries, it appears his name was actually ELIHU. I am not sure why he is listed as her former husband, as Elihu was still alive when she died. If there was a divorce, I'm not sure why he was listed in her death notice. Still researching this.

Pontiac, July 3.— (Special.)—Mrs. Sarah Adams formerly Mrs. Elijah Laycock, died at her home, 510 West Water street, this city, this morning at 10 o'clock. The deceased had been suffering for more than a year. Mrs. Adams was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., and came to this county with her parents when she was about twelve years of age. She was 67 years old. She leaves surviving one sister, Miss Mary Gibson, of Chicago; three sons, Edward, Frank and Grover Laycock; four daughters, Mrs. Alice Bradshaw, Mrs. Thomas Fraiel, Miss Bertha Laycock, all of this city, and Mrs. Rachel Worschle, of Dwight.
The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the home, Rev. John H. Boose conducting.
