∼Nancy C. Gibbs Feb. 10, 1943 - Oct. 24, 2014 Nancy Catherine (Robinson) Gibbs passed away on Friday morning, October 24, 2014 in Lovington, New Mexico. The family will receive visitors at 12 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 1 p.m., Saturday, November 1, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 300 Ritchie Rd. Hewitt, TX. Nancy was born in Stonewall County, Texas on February 10, 1943 to Ralph Dobie and Tressie Irene (Steel) Robinson. She graduated from Old Glory High School in 1962. Later in life she pursued her dream of teaching and graduated from Tarleton State University in 1991. After retiring in 2002, she spent her time doing the things she enjoyed most such as traveling, knitting, dancing, reading, gardening, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Gordon, Ralph and James; and sister Ruth. Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Dan Gibbs of Waco; her sons, Chris Gibbs and wife, Amy, of Corsicana and John Terrell of Wichita Falls; her daughters, Daina Higgenbotham and husband, Jamie, of Austin, Tracy Higgs and husband, Dennis, of Austin, and Tressie Mitchell and husband, Troy, of Fort Worth; sister, Ada Fay Bell of Lovington, New Mexico; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
