Savannah- Ruby Lee Collins Wrenn, 85, of Savannah, died Wednesday, Jan 31, 2007 at Hospice Savannah, Inc., surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Collins, Ga., and moved to Savannah in 1942. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard T. Wrenn, and her parents, James Slater Collins and Polly Ann Durrence Collins, and a brother Rabun Collins. She was retired from the C & S Bank, with over 27 years of service, having served as a CIF Supervisor. She was also a member of the C& S Retirees Club, and a member of the Savannah Credit Women's Club for 20 years, where she served as Past President for 1968-1969. She was the first recipient of the William Franklin Frazier Award in May 26, 1970, and the Excellence in Customer Service Award with the C & S Bank. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Temple, the Lydia Wilder Mission Group and the Ready Sunday School Class. She was a former member of Morningside Baptist Church. The family would like to say a special thanks to all of the Calvary women for their prayers and visits during Mama's illness. She always looked forward to your visits. A mother's love is forever, Nothing can take it from you, for it lives in your memories, and is a part of all that you do. We would like to especially thank Sheila Wilkinson for her faithful and loving daily care of our mother. We were truly blessed the day we found such a caring and devoted caregiver. May God bless you daily. She is survived by two sons and daughter in law, James H. (Bobby) & Kathy Wrenn, and Dana Wrenn all of Savannah, Ga; two daughters and sons in law, Betty Jo Wrenn and Stanley L. Brown, of Rincon, Ga; and Mary DiAnne and Roger Amerson of Garden City, Ga; eight grandchildren, Stanley L. Brown, II (Sess), Phyllis "Missy" Sackariasen (Kurt), Polly A.Engebretson (Alan), Pattie Barnes (Ronald), Angelia "Angie" Amerson, Laurri Dworzak, Stephen Amerson (Mindy), Howard Joseph Wrenn, II (Dana) ("Ho Joe"), seven great grandchildren, Heather, Mallory, Karl, Caleb, Tyler, Ty, Colin, and several nieces and nephews . Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Fairhaven Funeral Home. Funeral Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Calvary Baptist Temple, with Dr. John Connell, officiating. Mrs. Wrenn will be taken to the church at 9 a.m. to lie in state.
