Lura L. Balser Coxen, 90, Elwood, died today at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital after an extended illness. Born Sept. 20, 1905 in Elwood, she was the daughter of Claude and Della Balser. She married Howard N. Coxen, May 10, 1969. He died July 17, 1988. She attended First Presbyterian Church and was a member of Lady Elks and Lady Lions. Survivors include one daughter, Patricia M. Collier of Elwood; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one nephew. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Copher & Fesler Funeral Home with the Rev. John Constant officiating. Burial will be in Elwood City Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
