Robert Junior "June Bug" Mashburn, 85 of Bridgeport, AL, died March 23, 2017 at Highlands Medical Center in Scottsboro, AL. Robert was the son of the late Bige and Lucy Lorene Hall Mashburn born June 16, 1931 in Bridgeport. He had worked as a foreman at Jacobs Mfg. over 50 years. "June Bug" was a Lieutenant with the Bridgeport Volunteer Fire Dept. and member of Hillside Baptist Church.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Mary Lou Welch Mashburn; children: Paul Grady, Betty Jim and Carl Edward Mashburn; siblings: Fred and Lonzie Mashburn and Don Moore.
Survivors include his daughter Roberta Ann "Bobbie" (Grant) Russell of Hollywood, AL; grandchildren: Jennifer (Duane) Gamble, Dustin (Elizabeth) Mashburn; great-grandchildren: Grady Dean Gamble, Casen Reid Mashburn; siblings: James Ollie (Sarah) Mashburn of Grove Oak, AL, Emily Lou (Joe) Sharpe of SC; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Friday 11 AM- 9 PM at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL. The Funeral Service will be Saturday, March 25, at 11 AM in the funeral home chapel officiated by Bro. Joe Moore. Interment will be in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, TN
