JAMES F. BOSTON IS LAID TO REST

Mr. Boston was born near Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, June 15, 1864. He left his native state when but 17 years of age, coming west to Nebraska, which was then a frontier. In 1890 he came to Montana and engaged in freighting from Ravalli to Polson before there was a railroad in this part of the state. Later he farmed in the valley for four or five years and again engaged in freighting, this time from Kalispell to Fort Steele, over a period of two years.

Like many frontiersmen, as soon as the country began to be settled, Mr. Boston pushed on. His next move was to Franklin County, Washington, where he look up a homestead. That was 27 years ago and up until recently when he came to visit his sister Mrs. James K. Lang here, he had made that place his home. He died at the Lang home on February 27, 1925.

Mr. Boston was unmarried. Besides his sister, he leaves three brothers, W.E. Boston of Anaconda, J.J. Boston of Kress, Texas, and Gip Boston of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.
