Herbert E. Drewes, 83, of Wildwood, passed away Friday, March 24, 2017 at home with his loving family. He was born July 30, 1933 in Chicago to the late Walter and Mildred (Fick) Drewes. On January 1, 1955 in Chicago, Herbert married Shirley (Miller). Shirley (Miller) Drewes passed away on March 5, 2017. He is survived by his three daughters, Debbie (Jim) Wetter, Linda (Roger Weinhandl) Drewes and Sandy Drewes; nine grand children, Mike (Jill) Wetter, Brad Wetter, Steve Kehm, Eric Kehm, Nathan Davis, Renee’ McKinney, Melissa Delgado, Kevin Kotlewski and Jasmine Rodriguez; seven great grandchildren, Jeremiah McKinney, Aubriann Pincombe, Aaron Eskew, Genesis Townes, Brayden Wetter, Joshua Wetter and Kelsey Wetter. Herbert was an avid fisherman, gardener, a Veteran of the U.S. Army and enjoyed being with his family. The Visitation will take place on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Warren Funeral Home from 4 pm until 8 pm. The Funeral Service will be on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 11 am at the funeral home followed by the entombment in Warren Cemetery and Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 3 International Drive, Ste. 200, Rye Brook, NY 10573.
