Tobias William Brown,73,Formerly of Mt. Joy township, died Sunday morning at 6:15 o'clock from the effects of a stroke suffered at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Mrs R.E. Bechtel, in york, where he had been making his home for a number of years.
He was the son of the late Benjamin and Mary Oyler Brown. Surviving him are nine children: Mrs. Charles Hesson, Hanover; Mrs Milton Yingling,Westminster;Mrs. Elder Sheely,Littlestown;Mrs. Charles Fromfelters,Kingsdale; Maurice Brown, Hanover; Mrs Hattie Kindig,Hanover; Oscar Brown,Conestoga Center, and Mrs. Joseph Lawrence,Gettysburg R.D.; 21 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Two brothers, Washington Brown, Sherman Texas, and Peter Brpwn, South Dakota, and two sisters,Mrs. Maggie Lynard, Biglerville and Mrs.Jennie Diehl, Littlestown, also survive.
He was a member of St. John's Reformed Church, Littlestown, for many years. Funeral services Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the J.W. Little Funeral Parlors, Littlestown, with further services at St.John's Luthern Church, near Littlestown, the Rev. D.W. Bicksler, pastor of St.James Reformed Church officating. Interment in the adjoining cemetery.
