On March 17, 2017, a bright and cloudless spring day, Alison Lee Eldredge passed into the spirit world after courageously facing recurrent cancer. She was only 39 years young. Alison was born on February 14, 1978 in Wilmington, North Carolina. She attended Brighton High School and The University of Utah, ultimately earning her bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in nursing. She also served a mission in Ecuador for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In 2005, Alison met her future husband, Fred Eldredge. They shared a mutual love of the outdoors, and a focus on faith, family, and friends. Alison and Fred married in the Salt Lake Temple in 2006, and were overjoyed to welcome son Teancum in 2012 and daughter Ruby in 2014.
Beloved by many, Alison was intelligent, hardworking, and compassionate. She enjoyed living a healthy and active lifestyle that included running, swimming, and weightlifting with friends. She devoted herself to her family and her faith, selflessly helping those around her. She was an angel on earth and will continue to watch over us all.
Alison is survived by her husband Frederick D. Eldredge; children Teancum R. Eldredge and Ruby O. Eldredge; parents David J. and Kay Dixon Lee; siblings Nicole L. Shelley, Curtis D. Lee (Jamie), and W. Scott Lee (Cecilie); and grandmother Maxine J. Lee.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 11:00 am at the River Ridge 2nd Ward, 10168 S. 1100 W., South Jordan. Viewings will be held Friday, March 24th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Saturday, March 25th from 10:00 to 10:45 am. Interment at Crescent Cemetery will follow. Family and friends attending services are encouraged to bring photos for inclusion in a memorial book. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Utah Educational Savings Plan for Teancum or Ruby at https://gift.uesp.org/5FUEXW or https://gift.uesp.org/18VICM. Online condolences may be posted at www.premierfuneral.com.
Many thanks to the dedicated doctors and caregivers that helped Alison during this long battle. The family is most grateful to the friends, neighbors and church members who have supported them and Alison.
