Mrs. Anna Katherine Hamilton, a resident of Scott County for 47 years, died at 3:55 p.m. Wednesday at Mercy Hospital after an illness of six weeks duration. Her home was in Princeton, Ia.
Born on February 3, 1860, in Clinton County, near DeWitt, the decedent received her education in the schools of that district and was married to William J. Hamilton, February 12, 1885, in Clinton.
Forty-seven years ago they moved to a farm near Princeton where they lived until about three or four years ago when they moved to town.

Mr. Hamilton preceded his wife in death July 25, 1931. Mrs. Hamilton was a life-long member of the United Presbyterian Church and was active in the affairs of the Argo U.P. church.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. William Mengel of Davenport, Mrs. Howard Fletcher of LeClaire and Mrs. Thomas Rhuberg of Princeton; two sons, Orlo and Earl Hamilton, also of Princeton, and six grandchildren.
Three children preceded their mother in death.
The body was taken to the McGinnis Funeral Home and was removed to the family home in Princeton this afternoon where funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday and at 2 o'clock at the Princeton Presbyterian church. Burial will be in the Salem Lutheran Cemetery, Princeton.
