Frank J. Oglietti, 94, of Cabot, Jefferson Township, formerly of Leechburg, died at 6:30 a.m. Saturday (Jan. 24, 2004) at his home.

Born Feb. 25, 1909, in Leechburg, he lived in the borough for most of his life. For the past four years, he was a resident at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot.

For 35 years he was the owner and operator of the Penn and Palace Theaters along Market Street, Leechburg, retiring in 1974.

Mr. Oglietti was a member of Christ the King Parish, and the Marconi Lodge, both in Leechburg.

He enjoyed string art and painting.

Surviving him are two sons, Ronald J. (Frances) Oglietti of Taylors, and Anthony R. (Janice) Oglietti of Summerville, both in South Carolina; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary H. Hollis Oglietti in 1999; his parents, Elmer and Malvina Giorza Oglietti; three brothers, Guy, John and Anthony Oglietti; and three sisters, Matilda Oglietti, Jenny Conto and Aleda Sorisio.

Friends will be welcomed by his family from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at CLAWSON'S, Second at Main Street, Leechburg, where parting prayers of transfer will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. Christian Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Parish, Leechburg. Burial will follow in St. Catherine Cemetery, Gilpin.
