Mr. Hunsucker was in the US Army from 1959 to 1963. He served his country for three years stateside and one year in Korea. Prior to moving to Thomasville, he worked as a territory manager for Hennessy Industries out of Atlanta. He moved to Thomasville in February of 1995 where he assumed co-ownership of Horne Candy Company.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen, whom he married August 15, 1992; sons, Richard “Rik” and Robert “Rob”; stepsons, Scott, Christopher, and Bennett; grandchildren, Richard “Trey”, Austin, Stella, Jacob, Noah and Nate; and nephews, nieces, cousins and many other family members and friends.
