Before Carol retired in 2002, she was the Director of Global Promotions for Reader’s Digest in Chappaqua, NY. In her spare time, Carol was an active community member and was a member of the American Sewing Guild in Dutchess County, a Girl Scout Leader, a CCD Teacher for St. James the Apostle and was the Grand-Queen of the Red Hatters. Her favorite past-time of all, was spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by, her two loving sons; Michael and Matthew, her cherished grandchild Alexis St. Auburn whom she adored and her four siblings; Michael Howard, Kathryn Casey, John Howard and Barbara Howard and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Michael St. Auburn in 2004.
Carol was a devoted wife, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and a friend to many. She will be dearly missed by all who had known and loved her, yet her legacy of love and devotion to family and friends will continue to grow in our hearts.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. and Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Cargain Funeral Homes, Inc., 10 Fowler Avenue, Carmel, NY 10512 (845)225-3672. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. James the Apostle R.C. Church, 14 Glenieda Avenue, Carmel, NY 10512. Interment will follow at Fishkill Rural Cemetery in Fishkill, NY.
