He was born the son of Edward and Marion (Pennell) LeClair.
Carl was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945 in the European Theater. After returning from the war, Carl married Dorothy Cayea on Aug. 16, 1945, at St. Edmund's Church in Ellenburg, N.Y. He worked at Duquette Brothers Construction in Plattsburgh as a mason.
He was predeceased by two daughters, Mary Elizabeth LeClair and Shirley Ann LeClair; four brothers, Walter, Leon, Kenneth and Gerald LeClair.
Carl is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of Morrisonville; three children, Ronald (Linda) LeClair, Barbara LeClair and Janice (Larry) Evans Jr.; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville. Entombment will follow at Whispering Maples Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Plattsburgh.
