Thomas Priddy was the son of George and Dortha Priddy. His death records states his death date was Dec 9 1881 68y, was married, wife M. Priddy. The tombstone reads Nov. 9 1882 69y 22d. He was married about 1840 to Permelia Miranda Higginbotham daughter of Jonathan Higginbotham and Mary Tucker. They were the parents of Matthew, Catherine J., James, Lucinda Frances, Mary Jane, Adaline, Emeline, Lurana Bell, Thomas Edward, Perry Francis Amanda, a son and Dorothy Ann.

To reach the Priddy Cem. Extra, Putnam Co., WV The cemetery is about 2 mile Northeast of Extra, WV on Spring Branch Road, Putnam County Road 34/8. Stop at the 2nd house on the right beyond the intersection of Sulug Branch, Putnam County Road 5/5 to get permission to cross that property. There is a walking only trail starting on the right side of that house and goes up a very steep hill behind the house for about 150-200 yards and the cemetery is on the left side of the trail, cannot be seen from road.

Permission was given to use photos by Herman Gray. Photos were taken September 24, 2001. One photo is the path leading up the hill to the cemetery. The other is of the cemetery from the top of the hill looking toward the stone of Thomas Priddy.
