Helen Rose McGhee, age 83 of Caryville passed away Monday, March 20, 2017. She was of the Baptist faith. She attended Beech Fork Baptist Church. Helen enjoyed gardening, flowers, cooking, and shopping.

She is preceded in death by husband Odis McGhee; parents Earl and Flossie (Wright) Washam; brothers Denny and Bobby Washam; sisters Dean Phillips, Lois Bullock, and Wanda Williams.

She is survived by daughters Marilyn McKamey and husband Jimmy of Caryville, and Betty Bowling of Caryville; former son-in-law Wayne Bowling of Caryville; brothers Woody Washam and wife Debra of Fairview, Sonny Washam and wife Beverly of Fairview, and Teddy Washam of Norma; sister Virginia Ann Day of Norma; grandchildren Justin McKamey and Travis Bowling; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 10 AM -12 PM Thursday, March 23, 2017 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home; funeral service at 12 PM with Rev. C.W. Fraker officiating.

The interment will follow the service to McGhee cemetery.
