John B. Allison, 88, passed away July 1.
He had lived in Akron for 69 years. He was a retired rubber worker for the Firstone [Firestone] Tire and Rubber Co., a member of Faith Baptist Church of Barberton, and was a World War I Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Martha (Gatehouse); daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca of Cuyagoha Falls; two grandchildren, both of Cuyahoga Falls.
Funeral services at the Prentice Funeral Home, 1154 Kenmore Blvd., Wednesday, 1 p.m., Rev. Dean Grant officiating. Interment Lakewood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. TODAY. (Prentice 753-7721)
