Anne Daro, 86, of New Kensington died Wednesday (Jan. 14, 2004) in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights, Harrison.

She was born May 29, 1917, in Wilmington, Del.

As a young woman, she worked as a seamstress.

Mrs. Daro was a member of St. Mary of Czestochowa Roman Catholic Church in New Kensington.

She enjoyed gardening, especially flowers, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include two sons, Paul R. (Kate) Daro of Claremont, Fla., and Dennis H. (Cindy) Daro of Fawn; a brother; and three sisters.

Also surviving are three grandchildren, Paul Robert Daro, Carrie Ann Nickerson and Michelle Daro; and six great-grandchildren, Robert Gallamore, Paul Robert Daro III, Devon Nickerson, Jessica Daro, Samantha Nickerson and Brian Daro.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Daro, in 2001; and her parents, Adolph and Stella Ptak Jablonski.

Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the CICHOLSKI-ZIDEK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights, where a blessing service will be at 9 a.m. Monday. Officiating will be her pastor, the Rev. Richard Karenbauer. Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery mausoleum, Lower Burrell.
