SANDY RIDGE - Fred G. Ayers, 80, retired, died at 10 a.m. Sunday in the Philipsburg State General Hospital.
He was a member of the Methodist Church and the Sandy Ridge Fire Company.
He was the son of John and Susan Frye Ayers. His wife, the former Pearl Garland, died in 1955.
He is survived by one son, Albert J. of Lebanon and several nephews and nieces.
Services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Health Funeral Home, Osceola Mills. Rev. Ira Duvall in charge. Burial will follow in the Umbria Cemetery.
