Jerry Bert Stover, 95, of Evans Rt. 1, died Tuesday at his home. Born November 13, 1877, in Mason County, he was the son of the late Saul and Harriett Hughes Stover. He was married on July 4, 1900, to Orilla Mae King, who preceded him in death on Dec. 5, 1969. He retired from the Pure Oil Company after 27 years service.
Survivors include: three sons, Marshall Stover of Evans, Bert Jr. of Pt. Pleasant, Delbert of Leon; six daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Wheeler and Mrs. Edna Unrue, both of Dunbar, Mrs. Maria Garrett, Chesapeake, Mrs. Grace Findley, Morgantown, Mrs. Margie Akers, Evans, Lena May Richards, Seth; one sister, Minnie Sines of Iowa; 21 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, at 2 p.m., at the Casto Funeral Home at Evans with the Rev. Gerald Sayre officiating. Burial will be in the Stover cemetery.
