Lorraine Lucille Doughty, 83
GRAY - After a long battle with Alzheimer's disease, the sweetest woman we know, Lorraine Lucille Doughty, born May 17, 1933, has found her final resting place with the Lord and her family and friends who have passed before her. Lorraine passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by family, on March 6, 2017.

Lorraine was born in Portland, and spent most of her childhood growing up on a farm in Cape Elizabeth. While her kids were in school, she volunteered in the South Portland School system as a cafeteria attendant.

She was predeceased by her children, Warren Everett Junior, Robin Belyea, and Deborah Kelly; her six older siblings, Leland, Louie, Louise, Nina, Rosie, and Bobby; and also her daughter-in-law, Catherine Kelly.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Warren Everett Doughty; and her children, Donald Kelly and his wife Pat, Karen Roberts, Clifford Lawrence Kelly, Elsie Dyer and her husband Lawrence, Joseph Belyea and his wife Jeanne, Crystal Craig and her husband Rick, and Augustus Doughty and his wife Angela. She is also survived by over 50 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She loved spending time with her family. Her family was the light of her life and even in her last days, she would light up like a candle whenever any of her children or grandchildren came to visit her.

The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at Androscoggin Home Health and Hospice for their support and services during this difficult time.

A private service will take place on Chebeague Island later this spring. Arrangements are by
A.T. Hutchins Funeral Home.
