Harry "Ray" Cash, 68, went home to be with his Lord, Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Wake Forest University Medical Center.
Born January 23, 1949 in Kings Mountain, he was the son of the late Eunice Jones Cash and Grady E. Cash.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Pete Cash, and a sister, Marie Wray.
Mr. Cash served in the U.S. Air Force where he was also a member of President Richard Nixon's honor guard. He was a member of Winkler's Grove Baptist Church and worked in motel management in Myrtle Beach and Florida.
He was a giving and wonderful man that never met a stranger and was always making people happy with his laughter and his beautiful smile.
A celebration of Mr. Cash's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Winkler's Grove Baptist Church in Hickory with the Rev. Dale Faulkenbury officiating. Mr. Cash will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service from 1:30 – 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors provided by Hickory American Legion Post #48.
