KINSER, BETTY (MARY ELIZABETH CAMPBELL) age 87, passed away Monday evening, November 28.

She was born September 30, 1924, in Pachuta, Mississippi, to the late Peter Coleman Campbell and Janie Bass Campbell.

Mrs. Kinser graduated from the University of Tennessee Memphis in 1947 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse at John Gaston Hospital in Memphis and later as a private duty nurse. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Dr. John H. Kinser, in 2009; son, John H. Kinser, Jr.; sisters, Celia Colleen Davis and Susan Janet Slade.

She is survived by three daughters: Vicki Susan Kinser and Kay Senter of Morristown, TN, and Brenda Kinser Johnson of Washington, D.C. Also surviving her are three grandsons: Jim Senter, III, and his wife Brooke, Farragut, TN, Patrick Johnson, Tampa, FL, Eric Johnson, Ann Arbor, MI; two great-grandchildren: Grant Senter and Julianna Senter, Farragut, TN; her beloved sister, Mattie Claire McMillan, of Newton, MS; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She was a long time member of First Baptist Church and the Lisa Kirk Sunday School Class; member of Somo Sala Circle for 49 years; volunteer Pink Lady at Morristown-Hamblen Hospital, avid bridge player and University of Tennessee football and basketball fan. She loved her family and enjoyed traveling.

Special Care Givers for Mrs. Kinser include Liz Burchett, Pat Sexton, Deloris Cate, Allettia Reed, Brenda Bose, Georgia Kyle, Barbara Smith, Peggy Hilton and Sandra Baker.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 3, 2011, at First Baptist Church of Morristown with Dr. William Palmer, Rev. Danny Georges and Dr. Dean Haun officiating. Interment will follow in Jarnagin Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Pallbearers: Phil Austin, Mike Bell, John Austin, Jim Bell, David Graves and Johnny Miller. Honorary Pallbearers: Charles Graves, Wayne Litz, Keith Purkey, Sam Moore, Woodrow Austin, Dr. David Johnson, Dr. William Paulsen, Dr. Naseem Siddiqi, Dr. Myrwood Besozzi, Dr. Wahid Hanna, Billy Love, Bob Bales, Jr., Buddy Jones, David Purkey, Frank Roberts, Herbert Bacon, L.C. Taylor, Dr. Ernesto Mejia, Bud Jones, Hoyle Cecil, Dr. Ivan Perez, Dr. Linus Adams, Dr. Sunil Ramaprasad, and First Baptist Church Wallen-Purkey Sunday School Class.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made to First Baptist Church Music Program, First Baptist Adult Ministries, ALPS or a charity of your choice.
