Ruth Foster, 66, resident of Pittsburg, KS was called home at 6:59 p.m., March 13, 2017, at Via Christi Hospital.
She was born January 26, 1951 in Virginia, the daughter of Elbert Frost and Dortha (McClelland) Hill; raised by her Dad Jerry and Dortha Hill.
She owned and operated her own cleaning business and did child care until left unable to work. She was raised in Southeast Kansas area and graduated from Girard High School.
She enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She married Francis Meiers, Jr. They later divorced. She then married Orville Keith Foster on April 16, 1976, they later divorced.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, one brother, one sister, one son and one nephew.
Services will be held on March 20, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Burial will follow. Family will receive friends following the services at her home.
