BILLY EUGENE MARTIN, 86, of Rock Road (Doe Creek), Pembroke, departed this life Sunday morning, March 12, 2017 at Carilion Giles Community Hospital in Pearisburg. Born in Welch, WV on September 29, 1930 he was a son of the late George Milton Martin and Sylvia Inez Reese Martin Goad. He was a retired carpenter and mountain farmer, a 1950 graduate of Pembroke High School and the beloved husband of Shirley Collins Martin for 62 years.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke. The family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours before the services. Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday morning at 11:00 am in the Martin-Meredith Cemetery on Doe Creek.
