Micheal W. “Mike” Margheim, Sr., age 56, of Winona, died Friday, February 20, 2015 at Logan County Hospital, Oakley.

He was born March 12, 1958 in Colby to Waldo and Mary (Settle) Margheim, Sr. Mike married Sandra L. Pfeiff on August 18, 1979 in Winona. He was the city foreman of Winona.

Preceded in death: by his parents, his brother Steve and sisters Joyce and Carol Margheim.

Survivors include: wife Sandi of the home, sons: Mike Jr. of Hutchinson, Jonathan of Las Animas, CO, and Doug Margheim of Winona; brothers: Donald of Little Rock, AR, Jerry and Waldo of Oakley, Kenneth of Lakewood, CO, and Robert of Aurora, CO; and sisters: Mary Jean West of Goodland, Katherine Kurka of Bennett, CO, Pat Goodwin of Winona, Rebecca Dickman of Colby, and Laura Margheim of Aurora, CO.

Funeral service: Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Winona United Methodist Church with Pastor Sheryl Johnson and Rev. Donald Margheim officiating. Visitation: Wednesday, 5 – 8 p.m. at the church in Winona. Inurnment in the Winona Cemetery.

Memorials: Winona Fire Department, Logan County EMS and Winona United Methodist Church in care of Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home, P.O. Box 221, Oakley 67748.

Micheal Wayne “Mike” Margheim, Sr., age 56, of Winona, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2015 at the Logan County Hospital in Oakley.

He was born March 12, 1958 in Colby to Waldo and Mary (Settle) Margheim, Sr. Mike married Sandra Lynn Pfeiff on August 18, 1979 in Winona. To this union three children were born. Mike was employed by Bud Ward at Ward Equipment for several years. He then went to work for Bryan Latham at Town & Country in Winona. In October of 1989, Mike pursued his dream of running his own shop when he opened Mike’s Body & Repair in Winona where he enjoyed restoring old cars and working on other vehicles. He ran the shop for ten years. He then became foreman for the city of Winona. Mike enjoyed fishing and gardening and sharing the company of his grandpups.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Waldo, Sr. and Mary, his brother Steve Margheim and sisters Joyce and Carol Margheim, and father-in-law Bob Pfeiff.

Survivors include his wife Sandi of the home, his sons: Mike, Jr. and wife Jamie of Hutchinson, Jon and special friend Peg of Las Animas, CO, and Doug Margheim of Winona; and siblings Donald Margheim and wife Judy of Little Rock, AR, Mary Jean West of Goodland, Katherine Kurka and husband Robert of Bennett, CO, Pat Goodwin of Winona, Jerry Margheim of Oakley, Rebecca Dickman of Colby, Waldo and wife Rose of Oakley, Kenneth and wife Vera of Lakewood, CO, Laura Margheim of Aurora, CO, and Robert Margheim of Aurora, CO; mother-in-law Wilma Pfeiff of Winona and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Mike was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
