Obituary:
Julia L. Jeffries was born April 4, 1862, in Bryan, Ohio. She moved with her parents to Elk Point, South Dakota in March 1883 and was united in marriage to Charles A. Jeffries Nov 1, 1883. To them two daughters and one son were born.
Mrs. Jeffries joined the Methodist church at the age of 13 and continued that membership until her passing, acting as Sunday school superintendent and Bible school teacher. She became a member of the Rebekah lodge in Jan. 1900 and a member of the Women's Relief Corps, J.P. McPherson Post No. 14 and was past president of that organization.
She is survived by her two daughters, Mrs. Carrie Smiley of Los Angeles, Calif. and Mrs. Jennie Walter of Kalispell, and one son, Arthur Jeffries of Kalispell; also eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Mrs. Jeffries passed away July 24, 1937, at the age of 75 years. She had resided in Kalispell for 35 years.
