Jacob "Jake" Schaffer, 69, of Arvada died Oct. 16. Services were Oct. 20, with burial at Crown Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Schaffer was born in Sedgwick on Dec. 25, 1928.
He married Ann Schell, 1950. He was a farmer and a construction worker. He was a member of the Alpiners Polka Band.
Survivors include his wife; son John of Arvada; daughters Jeanne of Michigan, Kay MacGowan of Wisconsin, Geri of Westminster; brothers John of Greeley, Albert of North Dakota; sisters Mildred Leggott of Nebraska, Betty Herman of Brighton, Mary Jones of Nebraska; three grandchildren.
