Zelma Kennedy, 90 formerly of Dumas, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017, only a few hours before her 91st birthday. Funeral Services will be held at 10 o'clock in the morning on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Morrison Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors.

Zelma was born on March 7, 1926 in Altus, OK to Virl and Jewel Copeland. She spent most of her life in Moore County. She married J. L. Kennedy in March 1943 and had 68 wonderful years together. Zelma enjoyed her many friends, bowling, sewing, crafts, travelling with friends, motorcycle trips, and sight-seeing. She was a member of Church of Christ and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sons: Jerry Wayne and Marlin Joe Kennedy.

Zelma is survived by a daughter: Sallie Ann Luttrell and husband Roy; 9 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
