Peter Meyer, Jr. was born June 12, 1939, the son of Peter Meyer, Sr. and Johanna (Ripplinger) Meyer, in Karlsruhe, ND. He was raised on the family farm near Karlsruhe, ND, and attended Karlsruhe Schools.
Pete married Janice Irene Eberle June 27, 1964 in Esmond, ND. They made their home in Minot, where he worked in the maintenance department at Minot State University for 34 years. He was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church, Minot.
He enjoyed wood working, hunting, working in his yard and gardening.
His loving family includes: wife of 53 years, Janice, Minot; children, Jeff (Janice) Meyer, Minot, John Meyer, Minot, and Joe (Andrea) Meyer, Minot; grandchildren, Whitney, Blake, Ashley (Sean), Sierra, Mallie, Jaque, Grant, Trent, and Ashton; great-grandchildren, Benson and Camdyn; sisters, Jean (Mike) Leies, Paulson, MT, Cadi West, Cannon Beach, OR, and Joanie (Chuck) Ellis, Memphis, TN; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jackie Meyer; siblings, Ann Fahn, Katherine Torgerson, Lawrence Meyer, Albert Meyer, and Marie Helseth; and two infant brothers.
