Funeral services for Cecile Irene Edwards, 65, of 1510 Lowell St., Rock Springs, were conducted Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Bishop Richard James officiating.

Graveside services and burial were in the Kemmerer City Cemetery at Kemmerer.

Pallbearers were Jack While, Mike Motichka, James F. Wilson, James T. Wilson, all of Rock Springs, and Nolan Brown, William Ball and Arnold “Fat” Ball, all of Kemmerer.

Mrs. Edwards died Tuesday, July 13, at her home after suffering a heart attack, but her body was not found until Thursday night.

Born Nov. 2, 1905, at Jane, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Joseph Albert and Ella Amelia Lamb Davenport. She was married to Thomas E. Edwards in Rock Springs Sept. 16, 1927. Mr. Edwards preceded his wife in death in 1959.

A resident of this area many years, Mrs. Edwards had resided in Winton from 1930 to 1953, when she moved to Stansbury. The family lived in Stansbury until moving to Kemmerer in 1958 and then came to Rock Springs in 1960.

She was a graduate of Kemmerer High School and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Surviving are two sons, Jack of Green River and Thomas of Houston, Tex.; one brother, Oliver Davenport of Ogden, Utah; one sister, Mrs. R.F. (Lorene Audrey) Walker of Unionville, Iowa; her mother-in-law, Mrs. Jane Edwards of Rock Springs; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
