ENOLA - Spurgeon E. "Bud" Edmiston, 87, of Enola, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2003, at Holy Spirit Hospital.

He was the widower of Elva H. Edmiston.

Surviving are: two daughters, Jean H. Dimeler, Dauphin, and Vicki K. Welker, Enola; a son, Donald E. Edmiston, Enola; a sister, Joan Phelps, Beaver Springs; two brothers, Robert K. Lepley, Plant City, Fla., and Terry K. Lepley, Enola; 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 4 step-great-grandchildren.

He was a retired conductor with the former Penn Central Railroad.

He was a member of St. John's (Barner's) Evangelical Lutheran Church, Liverpool. He was also a member of Steelton Moose Lodge 382, and a member and past president of the United Transportation Union 0997.

Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in his church. Interment will be in Barner's Cemetery, Liverpool.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the time of the service at the church.

The Richardson Funeral Home, Enola, is handling arrangements.
