Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Dorcas Mimbs Carroll, age 86, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Mt. Olive Church of the Nazarene with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Carroll was born November 5, 1930 in Adrian, Georgia; she was preceded in death by her parents, the late Olvie Mimbs and Gladys Garnto Mimbs, a sister, Leotha Martin, and a brother, Wesley Mimbs. She was a member of Mt. Olive Church of the Nazarene. She was retired from ApparelCraft and Joette Industries with 48 ½ years of service and was co-owner of Carroll’s Produce. She loved gardening and selling produce at the Market on Madison. She was known throughout the community for her good cooking, especially fried chicken and apple tarts. Mrs. Carroll passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at her home after a courageous battle with dementia.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 Friday, March 10, 2017 at the funeral home.
Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
