My 4x great grandfather Joseph Gilmore.
Married Mary " Polly" Chambers, the daughter of James and Mary (McCormick) Chambers.

His father John Gilmore was a Scottish immigrant from Ayres (Edinburgh) Scotland, who fled to London Derry County, Northern Ireland (with 3 of his brothers) do to Religious persecution. In the mid 1740's John and his 3 brothers then immigrated to far Western Pennsylvania in the USA.
John's father James was now elderly widow. He stayed back in Ireland with his married daughter Elizabeth. My Bible doesn't state her married name. After James death, the Gilmore brothers agreed that ( the oldest) John Gilmore would travel back to Ireland to "fetch" his (now) recently widowed sister for the long sail to Pennsylvania.
Joseph married Mary " Polly" (Chambers) on December 8, 1803. in Butler County, Pennsylvania. **See attached photo).

Joseph & Mary "Polly" had 6 boys and 2 girls.
