“Isabella Hart” (1680 VA—1750 VA) & “Mark Anthony” (1670 Italy—1769 VA) were married in 1703 VA.

Isabella & Mark had at least 3 Sons:

~ “Luke Anthony” (1706 VA—1790 VA).
He married “Judith ?” in 1729 @ Hanover Co., VA.

~ “Joseph Anthony” (1713 VA—1785 VA).
He married “Elizabeth Clark”.
Joseph lived in Henry Co., Bedford Co., & Campbell Co., VA. Joseph moved to 'Lawyer's Road' in what is now Franklin Co. near the Staunton River.

~ “JOHN ANTHONY, SR.” (1715 VA—1760 VA).
He married “Elizabeth (Betty) Banks” (1718 VA—1801 VA).
John SR. lived in Albemarle Co., Bedford Co. & Campbell Co., VA. John Sr. purchased 1,012 acres in 1754 on both sides of the Otter River & 674 acres in 1759 @ the head of Blackwater/Ivy Creek.
* John was appointed by special order of the governor to be “Capt. of the Rangers of VA” in 1759. He died in 1760. *

-m: William Irvine; he died in 1766 (6 years after her father's death). They had 4 Daughters. She inherited from Irvine's estate.
-m: Robert Cowan on 6-9-1769 @ Bedford Co., VA . It is believed that they had 1 Son. Cowan was a lawyer & judge. He was also a Tory who fled back to England during The Rev. War. She wrote letters pleading for him to return to VA which he did eventually do. He served as a judge again in VA. He had many enemies there because of his British loyalty. He died in 1803. She died in 1816.

~Sarah Anthony
-m: John Talbot on 2-2-1760 (the year her father died). She & Talbot had no children. She died Before 1768 because her widowed husband remarried in 1768 to Mary P. Moseley & had children with her. He died in 1798.

These 4 Children were listed in their father John SR.’s Will of 1760 which was proven on 11-24-1760. Daughter Elizabeth was married to William Irvine then.

By 1801 & Elizabeth Anthony’s Will, Daughter Elizabeth Irvine was now married to Robert Cowan & Daughter Sarah Talbot was dead.
