He was the son of James Percival and his first wife Abigail [Robinson] Percival, born in Falmouth, Barnstable County, Massachusetts on 18 June 1699. Moved to East Haddam, Middlesex County, Connecticut with his family by 1706. He died during the epidemic that swept through East Haddam in the winter of 1713-14. He was not mentioned in his father's will dated 1 August 1728.
