Mrs. Beatrice Eby, wife of Moulton Tribune publisher R. R. Eby, died unexpectedly at the Ottumwa Hospital in Ottumwa at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, March 15.
Mrs. Eby had been ill for about two months, and had previously been a patient at the St. Joseph Hospital here, before being taken to the Ottumwa Hospital. She was believed to have been recovering from her illness. The family had visited with her Sunday afternoon, and had just returned home when they received a call from the hospital to the effect that her condition had suddenly become worse. She died before the family could return to the hospital.
Born May 16, 1896 in Tena, Mo., she was the daughter of Robert and Alice Singley Wilson. She came to Moulton in 1902, and was educated in the Moulton schools. She also attended college at Cedar Falls, and taught in the rural schools in the Moulton vicinity for a while. She also taught commerce at Marshalltown for six years, and at Moulton for one year.
She was married to R.R. Eby August 14, 1924. After the death of her father,, in 1922 who was founder of the Moulton Tribune, she and her husband continued with operation of the newspaper.
Surviving are her husband, two children, Mrs. Kathryn Bassett, Bloomfield, and Suella at home; and one brother, K. F. Wilson of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Her parents preceded her in death.

Mrs. Eby was a woman who had made a great host of friends. Her death is a personal, sorrow to many and the Moulton and Appanoose county area are saddened by her passing.
