Dale was raised by his step-mother Elsie. Dale's mother was a Choctaw Indian. She died when he was about 3 yrs. old.


Ollin Dale Bunch, 87, passed away Thursday, June 25, 1998, i n Fort Worth, Texas. His funeral service was held at the Brumley-McCurtain Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow on Sunday, June 28, 1998, at 2 p.m. with Bro. Paul Beard and Mike Hubbard officiating. Burial at the Hochatown Cemetery
immediately followed the service. Dale was born July 3, 1910 , in Broken Bow, OK, where he was raised. In 1933 he married Wilma Bennett of Antlers. They lived in Broken Bow until 1946, when they moved to Willow Ranch, CA., then New Pine Creek, OR. He and his family returned to Broken Bow in 1958, where they remained until 1996. By trade Dale was a construction site welder, but he is best known as a loving family man and a kind, caring, and well respected member of his community who found pleasure in helping others. He will be remembered for his sense of humor as well as his honesty and integrity . A hard worker, Dale also enjoyed fishing, gardening, and visiting with everyone. He was an enrolled member of the Choctaw Nation. He was also a member of the Lakeview (Oregon) Masonic Lodge and the Oak Grove Baptist Church. Dale was preceded in death by his wife of almost 60 years. Wilma Bunch, and his brothers, Howard Bunch and Suel Bunch. He will be missed by his sisters, Hazel Smith, Beatrice Brock, and Geraldine Brinkley; his daughter and son in law, Maxine and Bill Madison of Alturas, CA.; son and daughter in law, Gary and Donna Bunch of Edmond, OK.; Daughter and son in law Sandra and David Briant of Colleyville, TX.; and daughter and son in law Jeanie and Bruce Johnson of Choctaw, OK. He is also survived by his Grandchildren: Bill Madison, Terri Lynn Madison Privett, Andrea Madison Halverson, Greg Bunch, Staci Coleman, Shelly Coleman Billups, Natalie Johnson Franklin, Christina Johnson Curran, and Julie Johnson; and 14 great-grandchildren. Services were under the direction of Brumley-McCurtain Funeral Home of Broken Bow.
