Ireta Arnold Bower
SHELBYVILLE, Mo. — Mrs. Ireta Arnold Bower, 88, a Shelbyville native of Macon, died Friday (Jan. 3, 1997) in Macon Health Care Center.
Born April 5, 1908, Mrs. Bower was a daughter of Henry and Anna Katherine Rheinheimer Arnold. She married Cecil E. Bower in 1941. He died in 1961.
Mrs. Bower was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid in Macon. She moved from Florida to Macon in 1979.
Survivors include a son, Henry A. Bower of Macon; a sister, Anna Grimm of Cape Girardeau; two grandchildren, Mrs. Tim (Deborah J.) Carothers of Clarence, and Mrs. Rohn (Beth A. ) Wallace of Honolulu, Hawaii; and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Bower was preceded in death by three brothers, Edward, H. P. and M. W. Arnold.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. today in Mount Hope Cemetery by the Rev. Eugene Stueve. The Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon is handling arrangements.
Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church.
