Rose Mildred Zachary Chism, age 97, in Hattieville, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017. She was born September 18, 1919 in Old Hickory, Arkansas, a daughter of George Washington Zachary, Jr. and Mary Jane "Hasler" Zachary.

She was the widow of William Archie Chism, a homemaker and of the Prebysterian faith.

She loved flowers, cooking, quilting and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her brother, Leo (Kathleen) Zachary of Morrilton; children, Carl (Debbie) Chism of Atkins and Howard (Cheryl) Chism of Hattieville; daughter in laws, Mary Joyce Chism of Cleveland and Ann Chism of Jerusalem; grandchildren, Tammie (Lynn) Shipp of Cleveland, Rosemary (Kip) Norwood of Morrilton, Valerie Chism of Hattieville, Michelle Chism of Baltimore MD, Kenny (Rachel) Chism of Cleveland, Alan (Corri) Chism of Hector, Clint Chism of Jerusalem, Crystal (Johnny) Gullett of Robertstown, Lance Chism of Jerusalem, Deborah (Kendall) Solares of Atkins, Bobby Caudell of Russellville, and Zachary Chism of Atkins; 18 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Carl, Virgil, Gene, Cleo, John and Jimmy; sisters, Terry, Lois and Helen; and children, Betty, Kenneth and Billy.

Funeral services were held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 4, at Harris Chapel with Bro. David Overstreet officiating.

Burial was at Vinson Chapel Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
