He was the son of James and Elizabeth (Cole) Chambers.

Harrison Chambers was one of the first Rum Creek settlers along with Joseph Lowe and William Burgess.
Harrison married Araminta Burgess, the daughter of William and Mary Ann (McNeally) Burgess.
