Cindy Hite Shoemake, age 56, resident of Dewey, OK. On Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017, Cindy completed her journey after a lengthy battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Born Aug. 12, 1960, in Port Jervis, New York, Cindy Marie Hite was the third child of Joe Hite and Anna (Schneidt) Hite. Cindy spent her early life in Milford, PA. At the age of 15, she moved to the Hillsboro, MO, area to live with her Uncle Fred (John) Hite and Aunt Frances Hite and their family. She attended DeSoto High School in DeSoto, MO, and graduated in 1978.
On Oct. 27, 1979, Cindy was married to James Parson and they immediately relocated to Moore, OK. Together they raised four daughters. Cindy's greatest joy in life was her children and grandchildren. She never met a stranger and was loved by everyone she met.
Cindy is survived by four daughters, Amanda Parson of Wann, Ok, Rachel and Brice Windle, also of Wann, Ok, Kayla Parson and Megan McGuire of Union, MO, and Jayme Parson of Oklahoma City, OK. Cindy is also survived by her granddaughters, Madeline Mae and Everlyann Cindy Windle. Other survivors include siblings Harold Hite and Tina Everett of Port Jervis, New York; her dear Aunt Frances Hite of Hillsboro, MO; and extended family.
In keeping with Cindy's wishes no funeral services are planned. However, a gathering of family and friends is taking place to fellowship and share memories of Cindy on Sunday, March 5, 2017, from 2-4 p.m. in the dining hall of the Adams Blvd. Church of Christ in Bartlesville, 3700 SE Adams Blvd., Bartlesville, OK.
In lieu of flowers, Cindy requested memorials to be made to Hospitality House of Tulsa, http://hhtulsa.org.
