Virginia Tekla Colvin, age 63, of Hoopeston formerly of Chicago, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017. She was President of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Hoopeston. Loving wife of the late Patrick Colvin; beloved daughter of the late August and Lucille (Holy) Alm; dearest mother of Janice Colvin, Joseph (Lindita) Colvin and Julie (Brian) Patton; fond sister of Raymond (Mary) Alm, William (Patricia) Alm, Jack (Jeanne) Alm, Barbara (George) Spataro, Mary Christensen, Jo Ann (Robert) Spreyne and James (Pat) Alm; cherished grandmother of Kenneth, Carolyn, Kylie, Nicholas, Riley, Aleksander and Sophia. Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451 on Monday, March 6, 2017 from 3:00 PM until 9PM. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 11:00AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow to St. Benedict Cemetery, Crestwood.
