John M. King, Jr. of Mascot just celebrated his 87th birthday on February 27, 2017 passed away February 28, 2017 at Physicians Regional Medical Center. Member of New Antioch Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by parents, John and Mae King; son, Ron King; 2 grandsons, Dustin King and Dustin Caughron; several brothers and sisters. Survived by wife of 61 years, Georgia (Thomas) King; daughters, Vickie Wayman Smith, Mickie Magnuson (Dean), Connie Akin (Robert), Ginger Powell (David); sons, Don King, James King (Kimberly), Johnny King, III (Michelle); 24 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; sister, Barbara Polly; brother, Sonny King (Violet).

Funeral services will be 7:00PM, Friday, March 3, 2017, at Bridges Funeral Home with Rev. J. W. Lusk officiating. Family and friends will meet 1:30PM, Saturday at Bridges Funeral Home and will go in procession to Roseberry Cemetery for a 2:00PM interment with full Military Honors by the Volunteer State Honor Guard.
